Kappalanadi/peanut – 250 gram
Sharkkara/jaggery – 100 gram
Ghee – for greasing the pan
Chukku/dried ginger powder – a pinch
Jeerakam – a pinch
Water- 1- 2 teaspoon
Step 1 Fry the peanuts in low flame, until crisp.(If buying fried peanuts you can skip this step). Cool the peanuts.
Remove the skin of peanuts and gently break them.(I used pestle to gently break them).
Step 2 Melt the Jaggery by adding water in a pan. Stir continuously until you can feel the jaggery stretch like a string at the tip of your fingers.
Step 3 Add in the peanut and mix. Add in the chukku and jeerakam.
Step 4 Spread ghee in the pan, spread the peanut jaggery mix. Cut through,in desired shape before it hardens.
